It’s happening…

Claire de Luna, with her bottle of magic.

…a post from me, myself and I. Hope that you all are doing well and enjoying the season you have, wherever you are. Over here it’s slowly turning to Autumn and some cooler days. Summer has been rather hot and dry, and not so fun for the local farmers around our cottage. There’s been an encouragement from the county to not use so much water because the levels have been low.

A Calendula Officinalis and a mini Sunflower.

This has been an interesting plant, a Physalis. Cape Gooseberry, I think it is called.

Here we have a Summer Squash in full bloom.
The photo to the right is a small yellow tomato in a pear shape.

A Bell Pepper. Took some seeds from a bought pepper and wished for the best.

So it has been a bit challenging to keep my plants alive. But in some way the plant made it this far. I have had luck, but had to wait until now to harvest some seeds. The seeds usually arrive earlier. And the tomatoes are just now turning yellow. This is something I have enjoyed during Spring and Summer. After the last post I have just been hibernating. We came rather early in Spring to the cottage.

On a walk and after the walk.

Bentley had his 7th birthday here and had a play date with his best friend since both dogs were tiny puppies. Can not imagine them both being 7 years old.

The day she came home, still in her package.
And some props she owns.

And dolls. I have bought some new ones, but no BJD’s. Have my eyes on some and hopefully I can do something about that soon. One of the dolls I bought is a Monster High Moonspell Magic Claire de Luna doll. She’s a Generation 3 doll, and the cutest of them all. She was released on July 1st this year.

Out of the box.

Into the woods we went to take some photos.

She has a cane and a prosthetic eye.

On the Monster High Wiki it says that ”she is a clairvoyant witch, meaning she can see into the future and read constellations as easily as her fingers read braille”. She’s blind and has some perception in her left you and a prosthetic eye. Then she has a cane too with some other props. You can see all the dolls in this series at Monster High Wiki, here. I have been looking at Carina Song as another doll to have in my collection.

Then I have found my way to Bluesky. Not as Dollsdolour. Made at first an account as myself - sharing everything from weather, dolls, Bentley and so on - under my own name. Forgot to close DM’s and it took off fast with strange people letting me know what they thought. Closed that account and made a new one and I’m still there.

Until next time. Enjoy your day! Will visit you soon!

  1. YAY!!! She's back alive and well . . . so pleased you finally awoke from your hibernation Niina. I can appreciate you falling for this doll and I like the name Moonspell.
Glad to see the photos of Bentley, I can't believe it's been seven years since you showed him as a puppy. The garden's looking good too.
Don't know what Bluesky is, if it's different media, I don't want to know I'm happy in my Blogger world.
Please post pics of the rest of your dolly haul when you can.
    Big hugs,

    1. It was a long hibernation, but it feels good to be up, awake and back!
I love the thought of this doll being blind but still rocking the magic that Monster High has. It can be special for kids out there to have a doll like this. I have seen that there is more and more dolls with different disabilities, which is a good thing.
Yes, seven years. Time goes by fast and he still behaves as a puppy. He gets zoomies - random burst of energy - when he knows something fun is going to happen, like a long walk, swimming at the lake or just a road trip.
      Will post something new soon.
      Big Hugs!

  2. Welcome back Niina!! I've been waiting for this day.
I stumble upon G3 MH dolls a month or 2 ago and they are so pretty, I like them more than G1 for sure. I even considered getting a Draculaura, you know pink is a magnet for me. Moonspell dolls are so pretty too.
Bentley is adorable, he's still a puppy in my eyes.
I didn't remember you liked gardening too. Tomatoes do really well for me, but I've always struggle with peppers.
I didn't sow any seeds this year, I was too busy, but I'll try to buy some seedlings.
Xanadu has revived an old magazine cover challenge, if you want some inspo on what to write next *wink wink*

    1. Thank you, feels good to be back!
I was thinking about getting the Monster High Scary Sweet Birthday Draculaura Doll (long name) in December last year, but ended up with another MH doll (will blog about that later on). My youngest daughter's favorite is Draculaura and she got one in her young years and still have the G1 doll. And in good shape too!
I started gardening (vegetables) last year when we got two tomato plants from a friend. It was fun, so we got some different plants this year and started from seeds. It is a learning curve, but we like it a lot. I have been mostly into planting flowers, but I enjoy this a lot too with the vegetables.
Bentley is a puppy for us too. Such a little furbaby.
Sounds like a nice post to make about an old magazine cover challenge. Need to check that out! :)
